The first month: Quality Apartment

It didn't look sunny when I came in Aruba, but as soon as you get out of the airplane you feel the heat coming towards you. And that doesn't go away.

At my first evening I met a girl that started in the same week as I did and she was staying  for just five weeks so she had a big list of the things she wanted to do in that time. So I could join her!

I didn't had a car at first but it was just a 10 minutes walk to my work and a crocery store. But after a while you really want to have a car because you can not go anywhere without it. There are no cycle- of walkingpaths and the people are not use to it. The little children here know how to swim but they don't know how to ride a bicycle.

In the first month I was pretty busy looking for an apartment and a car. But after a certain time you are happy to have a car in this heat. The first car I got after a week and it didn't had AIRCO but ARKO (that's a Dutch thing) but at least I had some transportation.

So.. now.. what did we all do:
We walked through a national park and like every day it was pretty warm. After a two hours walk we were at a natural pool, had a dive and walked along the beach. On the way back we asked some people if we could drive back with them, after an hour (it was not just a normal road, but a gravel bumpy road) he got a flat tire so we walked the rest.

We also went to a few beaches, had a few swims, did some snorkeling, went to good restaurants, have seen some caves, joined some free salsa lessons (which are really good fun!!) and I got my Pady open water diving course. I don't have pictures about the diving or snorkeling but those will come when I have my gopro. 

The next month is about relaxing and sport. I will start a Salsa course, I will join a few different sportlessons and I'm going to visit a friend who is working in Sint Maarten for two months.
