Aha. . so we need oxygen?

We went back over the Lindis Pass to QUEENSTOWN, we didn't had to stop that often because we already seen the views yesterday. Queenstown is THE city when you want to do stuff like bungee, skydive or that kind of similar stuff. And we wanted to do skydiving and we planned that the next day. We got a free entrance for the ice bar by booking it. Nice. Up to the souvenirs shops. Once in a while we buy "friendship" rings and now she saw a nice one. I liked that one to but they didn't had the right size. I wasn't even sure which finger was still free, because I already wear three rings normally. I left them at home now and I wasn't sure on which finger I wore them. Just take the guess then. There was another ring that we both liked, so try that one. That one is for my birthday! Nice! And when I'm back I will found out if I had choose the right finger.

It was lovely weather so we got out on the terrace and had an Espresso Martini! Hmm, not bad. After that we went to the mc Donald's to get some quick food before starting the wine tasting. 

You got a card and then you could choose the wine you wanted to taste, scanned your card and then choose if you want a taste glass, half glass or normal glass. We ordered a Cheese platter with it as well. Really awesome concept. We had a little bit trouble to finish the platter, we just had one hour before we had to go to the Ice bar. I love wine tasting!

Heading for the Ice Bar, -5 degrees. Brr. We got a jacket, hand gloves and shoes. Then you had half an hour. Everything was made of ice, even your glass. Pretty nice to see it but not worth $20,- to go there very often. We had a cocktail and a dance and after that you were allowed to break your glass. So . . now it was nice and warm outside!

Pub crawl time. We went to several bars but ended in the first bar we went to. We were both a bit tired so we didn't make it that late. We saw a statue that Simone had to climb for a pictures. Funny enough that statue is in the brochures with the text: Photo opportunity, we found out the next day.

In the first place we wanted to do our piercing here but we didn't really had time for that so we would just do that another day. What was good because my lip was still not better. But lucky it wasn't thick anymore in the morning! That's good.

So. . skydiving the next day. Exciting! I have already done that once in Interlaken, that was awesome. 15000 feet (4,5 km) high we would jump. Nice! While driving there Simone was like. . euhm. . I think that I left my rings in the tent. . but euhm. . where is our tent? We totally forgot to take the tent with us. We packed our stuff and hanged out the tent so it could dry. Then we had breakfast, stepped into the car and drove away. . without getting the tent. Oops. Good that she had to think about her rings!

We got prepared and went straight into the plane. No time to change your mind . . My suite was a bit loose. . but I think the guy knows what he is doing?! Well I hope. But I asked him anyway.. You just never know! Time to get a bit nervous. . When he saw the guy in front of us preparing the oxygen he asked me that we would jump at 12000 feet right? Euhm. . no, we were gonna do the 15000. . . Well he was prepared. . That didn't make me feel comfortable. . Now I just hope that the difference in height doesn't change the gear you need to have with you. But apparently you need a bit of oxygen because of the height. . I was happy that the other guy and Simone were sitting in front of is so that he noticed that. . He adjusted my suite then as well, good! So. . green light and jump? Simone went first but not even 10 seconds later I was leaning outside of the airplane. . Pfffff here we go!!!!

What I said before. . you just don't have the time to rethink. . you just go. . Well you have to because you're stuck on someone. . You could feel that the air was different and I needed to open my whole mouth to get air. .  because I just didn't get enough just breathing through my nose. That's probably just a mind thingy . . but I felt better with my mouth wide open. . Good that they didn't film me!! The view was pretty good! So was the weather. You could see all lot of mountains, snow, lakes and land. Really nice!

Too bad that's over before you know it. Your standing on the ground again just as if nothing happened. . Simone got a film so we waited for that and watched it. Really nice!

Back to Queenstown to get our tent. . We had to pass that town anyway so that wasn't so bad!
