Getting sick on a whale watch trip

6 november 2017 - Kaikoura, Nieuw-Zeeland

We where at a town at the sea; Kaikoura. So we wanted to eat fish, to bad that it was beer batterd. We wanted a fresh one but well. . Next time.

Then we went midgetgolving. You could get your own stick and ball and then you had to put $5,- in a safe. It had 8 holes and Simone was on the winning hand till we got at hole 7. After 15 shots we stopt counting. When she was finally done, that was what we thought, the ball went to another field. . You can imagine that Simone couldn't be happier when she found that out. We wrote 7 down and I got in in three shots!! Yeah! Time for a beer. . Our first one.

It feld like that the first one went straight to my head so I wanted a small one the next round. The barmaid had misunderstood Simone so I got a big one. . *Pff, what a suprise.

Let's play some pool and that was the moment that I woke up. After the first game we played doubles with two locals and Simone finished the game really nice, twice!
Then it was time to go back to our hostel, we had to get up early in the morning because we would go on a whale watch trip. We were pretty excited.

Getting up went pretty good, it was 6 in the morning. I wanted to put om my walking boots but I couldn't find them. Oohw no. . Did I forget them in Christchurch?! I couldn't remember carryimg them to the car last morning. . What a surprise. . I really needed them in the next two weeks so that means that we have to get back to get them. That will cost us 4 till 5 hours. . Bah.

At the whale watch meeting point Simone got a few seasick tablets. You never know. After half an hour on the boat you could collect them again. But she wasn't the only one that got sick. I've never seen or hear so many people throwing up at the same time! We were in a row of seven and four of them had a pukebag in ther hand *and they all used them! Just imagine that. . A throwing up cruise. You could have known that when you looked at the supply of paper bags and hand gloves that were EVERYWHERE! Nice jobs those guys have.

But that only happend at the first stop, NOT! We stopped four times. And the best part of it was, we didn't even get to see one whale. . Well I saw a seal and Simone saw something schwimming as well. To bad that it was her own breakfast. At least it was nice wheater and I still had fun.

Time to do some walking: Peninsula walk. We didn't want to do the whole walk because we had to get back to Christchurch again. So a quick walk. That didn't went how we planned it either because Simone was to busy with looking for schelves. But it was good to see that she could do her "happy dance" after finding the shiva shelves. We even got to sea a few seals so it was definitely worth it
